About me

my aRT

As a multimedia artist, I have worked with a large range of mediums from simple craft supplies to more advanced things like metal smithing, spray paint, woodwork, sculpture, costume design, jewelry,  glass bead making, resin art and more.  My main medium over the last eight year has been acrylic paint, although I still work with jewelry crafts, woodworking, and costume design here and there. While the majority of my work is abstract, I have more recently began trying to make more reasilstic pieces including the jersey mikes piece on my gallery pa

My Life

I'm a 25 year old Chicago residant. My experience with art began at  a very young age and has blossomed into a love for art of all mediums and styles. Growing up in a city like Chicago where art is a prominent part of life definitely had an impact . When I'm not hard at work in my studio, I spends time quickly crafting delicious subs for the masses.

My INterests

My interests outside of art vary from themes in pop culture and film to listening to music and gardening. I have also spent years studying and learning many styles of martial arts from across the globe. I also enjoy exploring new parts of Chicago and all it has to offer .

What Art Is To Me

...

Art has always been both an outlet and learning tool for me. As kids we play with crayons, paint, beads, etc to create new ideas and understandings. These experiences show us how using physical items along with our imaginations can help us better define who we are and how we fit into the world around us.

...

The use of something as simple as a crayon can have a huge impact on us as a child. It can lead to nothing or it can lead to us becoming someone who finds joy in making and creating. Finding how we like to express ourfelves, share our emotions and feelings and build connections with others is just one part of the journey.

...

Each artist has a unique story to tell and a unique journey that brought them to where they are today. Art is an ever changing part of our world and it's important to keep in mind no style is more or less vital to the world of art.

Finding Your Own Way

...

...

...

defining yourself as an artist in a world bursting with counltess other creatives can be a daunting challenge. Patience and perserverance are the way through this.

...

...

...

finding styles and mediums that speak to us is another step. in the journey.  We try new things and find what we enjoy and what we don't. Once we hone in on those things we can build our talent with practice and experimentation.

...

...

...

Some artists specialize in one medium or styles. Others, like myself like to bounce between mediums. As an artist with ADHD, having options is important.  It can also be overwhelming. Having a primary medium such as painting allows for diversity in my work while giving me ways to take breaks
